Hey there! I’m Wendy.
Brisbane’s first independent female buyer’s agent and unofficial mentor to women forging a career that offers freedom, flexibility and an income ceiling you can unapologetically smash.

27 years ago, I entered the real estate industry as a naive 17 year old with starry eyes and a dream to one day become a self-made millionaire.
Today, I’m a Luxury Buyer’s Agent and Businesswoman with a multi-million dollar property portfolio who is passionate about helping like-minded women accelerate their career, become financially independent and live a balanced life.
A life that took me the best part of 20 years to create.

I originally launched Deals In Heels in 2016 as a personal blog sharing the private details of my journey from trainee to founder of my own real estate agency, buyer’s agency and personal brand.
When the Covid property boom hit, my advocacy business, like others in the industry, experienced a surge in activity, and so my writing took a back-seat, but when the timing was right, I planned to relaunch into something greater and more purposeful. I realised my offering in this space was so much more than just a blog, and in 2024 I founded the WENDYRUSSELL Institute and began creating online programs and content that supported the success journey of like-minded professional women.
